Colm Desmond is a Dublin-based artist who works mainly in photographic media. In his practice, he investigates the legacy of formalist and related art movements through a collaged painting aesthetic. He has exhibited in solo and open-submission exhibitions nationally, including Claremorris, Eigse, EVA and Iontas. He holds a BA Fine Art (IADT, Dún Laoghaire) and an MA Art in the Contemporary World (NCAD, Dublin). He is also a graduate of UCD, Dublin (BA Econ. Politics; Dip Econ. Sc), and the international cycle of ENA, Paris. He has been an associate researcher with the GradCAM Aesthetics Seminar group since 2009.
